Chinese and European Companies Are Optimistic About Cooperation in the Photovoltaic Industry

The 2024 European International Solar Energy Exhibition held in Munich, Germany recently attracted about 3,000 companies from 160 countries and regions to participate in the exhibition. Nearly 1,000 Chinese companies participated in the exhibition, exceeding the number of host Germany. The "Global Solar Energy Market Outlook 2024-2028" report released by the European Solar Energy Industry Association during the exhibition shows that Germany's new photovoltaic installed capacity in 2023 has ranked fourth in the world. In addition, European countries that will enter the world's top ten photovoltaic markets in 2023 include Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. The new photovoltaic installed capacity in these countries has also achieved year-on-year growth. As of 2023, 14 of the 31 countries with a total photovoltaic installed capacity of 1 GW are located in the EU.
